- Take tomatoes and green chillies roughly chop them and add then into a mixture jar and grind it into a paste and keep it aside and then grind the green peas roughly and keep it aside
- Take a pressure cooker place it on the stove and turn on the flame and add 1 tbsp of oil once the oil is heated add cumin and mustard seeds, hing and let it splutter once done add turmeric and red chilli powder (keep the flame low) and then add the tomato paste and then add salt cook it until the paste starts leaving the oil.
- Then add grinded green peas and give it a mix then add the dal and 1 cup of water cover it with the lid and pressure cook it until 3 to 4 whistles
- Once done turn off the flame and let the cooker cool down and open the lid.
- Once done mix it and too add in extra flavour give a tadka.In a pan add 1 tbsp ghee and once the ghee is heated add mustard seeds and dried green chillies and red chilli powder and add it on the dal.
- Your Green peas dal is ready serve it with roti or rice
