Take mashed sweet potato and add the rest of the tikki ingredients (amchur powder, chaat masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, fennel seeds powder, sendha namak, green chilies, cilantro leaves, lime juice and crushed peanuts). Sweet potato cutlet is one of the easy, healthy and delicious snacks. It is also known as shakarkandi.   1. Soak sabudana in water for 3 hours. Drain out extra water.
  2. Peel and cut yam into pieces and add salt, mix. Leave for 1/2 an hour, wash and boil it.
  3. Mash potato, yam, sabudana and salt.
  4. Heat oil in a pan adds cumin seeds, green chili, and red chili. Add potato mixture. Mix well. Switch off the gas. Mix corn flour, mawa, and coriander leaves.
  5. Make takkies out of this mixture and shallow fry on a tawa.
  6. Serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
  7. Your yummy Yam Tikki is ready to serve.
