  2. Add ghee and spread it all over the base of the cooker
  3. Now add washed rice.stir and cook the rice till rice turns light brown
  4. Add half of the milk and saffron, reduce the flame to lowest
  5. Cover the pressure cooker with lid and cook rice on slow flame for 12 15 minutes
  6. After 12 minutes switch off the heat. Let the cooker cool down and open the lid and stir the rice.
  7. Switch on the flame to medium high and add rest of the milk
  8. Add green cardamon power
  9. Mix well and cook kheer for about 10 minutes on high flame
  10. Add sugar and mix well. Cook it for almost 10 more minutes
  11. Switch off the heat. Rice kheer is ready
  12. Garnish with nuts
  13. Serve it hot or cool
