- Add half of the milk and saffron, reduce the flame to lowest
- Cover the pressure cooker with lid and cook rice on slow flame for 12 15 minutes
- After 12 minutes switch off the heat. Let the cooker cool down and open the lid and stir the rice.
- Switch on the flame to medium high and add rest of the milk
- Add green cardamon power
- Mix well and cook kheer for about 10 minutes on high flame
- Add sugar and mix well. Cook it for almost 10 more minutes
- Switch off the heat. Rice kheer is ready
- Garnish with nuts
- Serve it hot or cool
